STENT RETRIEVER 

In Thailand, the number of patients suffering from ischemic stroke continues to

rise, making it a leading cause of death and long-term disability.

To address this challenge, the research team has developed a novel blood clot retrieval
device (Retriever Stent) designed to remove clots from cerebral arteries.

The device has undergone mechanical, biocompatibility, and performance testing using

cerebrovascular models, followed by advanced evaluations in accordance with

international standards (ISO 10993, GLP), including animal studies.

The results confirmed that the device can be used with high accuracy and safety,

demonstrating strong potential for further development toward human clinical

use and future commercialization

ในประเทศไทยจำนวนผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดสมองอุดตันเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง

ซึ่งเป็นสาเหตุสำคัญของการเสียชีวิตและภาวะพิการติดเตียง

ทีมวิจัยจึงได้พัฒนาอุปกรณ์ลากลิ่มเลือดชนิดดึงกลับ (Retriever Stent)

เพื่อใช้ดึงลิ่มเลือดออกจากหลอดเลือดสมอง พร้อมทั้งทดสอบสมบัติทางกล

ความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพ และประสิทธิภาพการใช้งานในแบบจำลองหลอดเลือดสมอง

จากนั้นได้ยกระดับการทดสอบตามมาตรฐานสากล (ISO 10993, GLP) รวมถึงการทดลองในสัตว์

ผลการทดสอบยืนยันว่าอุปกรณ์สามารถใช้งานได้อย่างแม่นยำ ปลอดภัย

และมีศักยภาพที่จะพัฒนาต่อยอดสู่การรักษาในมนุษย์และการใช้งานเชิงพาณิชย์ในอนาคต
