The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) organized the “STS forum : NRCT YLP Workshop” during Thailand Research Expo 2026 at Centara Grand at CentralWorld to prepare young Thai researchers for international scientific collaboration.

The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), organized the “STS forum : NRCT YLP Workshop” as part of Thailand Research Expo 2026 on 25 June 2026 at Lotus Suite 1–2, Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, preparing young Thai researchers for international collaboration in science, research, and innovation.
Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of NRCT, presided over the opening ceremony alongside Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anak Khantachawana of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and 32 young researchers shortlisted in the first round of the STS forum Young Leaders Program 2026.
Dr. Wiparat noted that the STS forum serves as a premier global platform where scientists, inventors, and researchers exchange perspectives on addressing global challenges through science, technology, and innovation. The workshop equips young Thai researchers to engage with global leaders and build international academic networks.
Alumni of the STS forum Young Leaders Program—Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krit Charupanich (Prince of Songkla University), Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitaporn Kanokratana (KMUTT), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Soontorn Tantithawornwat (Mahidol University)—shared their experiences and insights on preparing for the international forum.
Participants also engaged in Problem-Based Learning sessions to build networks and co-design action plans for the Side Event and participation in the STS forum 2026 – The 23rd Annual Meeting.
